Anyone for Mikado?
BF and I have just discovered the chocolate biscuit version of the pick-up sticks game. The chocolate Mikados by LU are both yummy, practical and fun (although we restrict ourselves to just eating them)! Their only drawback is that they're dangerously tempting. I managed to eat only two while taking the pictures, and eating them was completely justified: they were both broken and wouldn't look good in the photos...
As you can see, the sticks are very easy to pick up (too, easy, actually).
While we're on the subject: I've fallen completely in love with the flooring in BF's rental apartment. There might not be an obvious connection between chocolate and parquet flooring, but its colours actually remind me of all sorts of delicious stuff:

See what I mean?
Unfortunately, I have no idea what kind of wood it's made from. If you recognize it, let me know!
Hope you're having a delightful Monday!

Oh, Trudi, I love these! Have you tried the strawberry ones? The ones dipped in almond are also great. There's a Japanese market in town and they have an entire aisle for all the different types. :) They are dangerously addictive as you say. Once I open a box, I won't stop until they're all gone. So when I buy them now, I buy the pack of small boxes!
That must be the best pickup sticks game ever
I love love love the first photo! And those floors are so rich, they're definitely the perfect companion to sweets and treats.
Yum! I only know these as Pocky Sticks in our Japanese Market. They are very addictive! They look so pretty on your pretty plate! Is the wood maple maybe? Depends on the year of installation.

Those are sooo amazing those little things! Its a pitty i (or maybe a blessing) i dont have them in my country otherwise there'd be no breakfast , lunch or supper!!!

I love those pick up sticks! I bet the biscuit part is very edible too! :) As for that parquet - nougart! I'm going to have to run up the road now and buy some - you've got me in the mood for it!
