HAPPY MONDAY - COLOURFUL INSPIRATION FROM LUCAS ALLEN

This Happy Monday post is dedicated to photographer Lucas Allen. He's got a quite varied portfolio, but I've chosen the brightest pictures for you to enjoy! What these photos seem to have in common is lots of white combined with colourful accents. This is my favourite way of decorating. If the backdrop is neutral, it's so much easier to change the look of a room without spending much money. So if you're planning a makeover at home, this is something to consider!

All links, including photos, open in a new tab/window. If links don't seem to work, check your already open tabs or windows!

Maybe you could paint part of a wall in an accent colour? If you tire of it later, it's easy and cheap to change.

All colour in this interior is found in tiny accessories.

The below photos carry inspiration for those of you who'd like to paint your furniture or maybe your doors:

("Do you know what time it is, dear?")

Looks like Lucas Allen is fond of fun chairs and doors!

I love this photo; the lime green door is so surprising next to the kitchen cabinet doors.

Deco Details:

Maybe you could spray paint an old candleholder? I'm sure you'll find cheap ones at second-hand shops.

My favourite display today. Mix and match - I'm definitely inspired by those butterflies, they look like they're easy to make!

Ps. Picasa had a bug in their system the other day, so half of the photos from my living room post suddenly went missing... I've put the photos back in, so now you can see the complete post here. If you're a Blogger user and uploaded photos Wednesday or Thursday, you might want to check if your posts and your settings on Picasa are intact (they've emailed possibly affected users)!

Waw! Her var det mye for øyet å kose seg med!
Den irrgrønne døren er en favoritt, det samme er den rosa og røde døren, og de fargerike klokkene... Vil HA!!!
Den turkise veggen var ikke så dum den heller ;-)

Takk for flott fargeinspirasjon. Ble glad av å besøke denne bloggen ;-)
Ha en fin kveld!

Gorgeous. I totally agree, a white background not only allows colour in with subtlety, but is also incredibly relaxing. Cool find and chic photographs.

Hi, I'm Luci and my bad English! Ja! I love the colors I was thinking of painting my kitchen a color but then change my mind, now I want to paint everything white because I want to emphasize that all my furniture and decorative items that can not even put on display, because I pull my baby and breaks everything. :-(

Kisses.
